Synopsis Mahotsukai Sari、 Sally the WitchSally is the princess of the Magic Kingdom、 eleven years old in human terms. She always enjoys observing the human world from a crack in the clouds. One day、 feeling a strong urge to visit the human world、 she steps into it with her familiar Kabu without telling her parents. There Sally meets Yoshiko Hanamura and Sumire Kasugano、 two girls around the same age as her. Wanting to live among humans、 she lives in a house she magically created on a piece of vacant land、 starts going to elementary school as a transfer-in student、 and gradually becomes friends with Yoshiko’s triplet younger brothers Tonkichi、 Chinpei、 and Kanta、 among others.Using her magic to solve various incidents and problems that occur in the human world、 Sally develops an understanding of humans and gradually grows up.Years pass、 and Sally has to return to the Magic Kingdom to make her debut in society.Feeling sad about being forgotten by her friends Yoshiko and Sumire、 Sally tells them that she is a witch. But they do not believe her.It is then that Sally’s elementary school catches fire. She uses magic to make it rain and extinguishes the fire before her friends’ eyes. Seeing what Sally has done、 Yoshiko and the others believe that she is a witch. Yoshiko and the others promise that they will always be friends、 even though Sally is a witch. Then they say farewell. The first of the “Toei majokko series、” Sally the Witch was based on the shojo manga by Mitsuteru Yokoyama、 known for his Sangokushi.A remake version featuring slightly altered characters was broadcast in 1989、 which was also a long-running series that lasted two years.
