Doragon Kuesuto Yusha Aberu Densetsu、 Dragon Quest: Legend of the Hero Abel In Aliahan Village、 Abel、 a cheerful youth、 and Tiala、 a girl who loves inventing、 find an ancient stone slab related to the legends of the dragon in the Lake of the Dragon God on their 15th birthday.Meanwhile、 the great demon Baramos is born from evil grudges of the ancient city Estark citizens、 who once plotted to sink the world to the abyss of chaos. Baramos appears in front of Abel and Tiala. Desiring to drink the blood of the legendary dragon to obtain eternal life、 Baramos captures Tiala because she has the ability to use the Red Jewel for resurrecting the dragon.Abel vows to retrieve Tiala and embarks on a quest together with his childhood friend Mokomoko. En route、 they meet wizard Yanack and female sword fighter Daisy and let them join. The party overcomes many challenges and becomes stronger、 as Abel grows as the hero of the Blue Jewel. However、 Baramos gets in their way by playing dirty tricks、 including puppeteering Abel’s father using the cursed helmet and dispatching him to attack his son.Through these difficulties、 Abel rescues Tiala and goes on to search for the Holy Sword and the Holy Grail together with Tiala and other friends to resurrect the legendary dragon and protect the world. Finally、 Abel puts on the legendary blue armor having the power of the revived dragon and kills Baramos.Dragon Quest: Legend of the Hero Abel is the first anime series based on the popular role-playing video game series Dragon Quest、 which was released by Enix (current Square Enix) in 1986、 with the characters designed by manga artist Akira Toriyama、 who is famous for his popular series Dr. Slump and Dragon Ball. The part one of the anime series aired from 1989 to 1990 and the part two aired in 1991 on the Fuji Television network.
