Synopsis

Zero Tesuta (Zero Tester)This is Soeisha’s second piece and was produced by Ryosuke Takahashi in his first role as a director. He also directed Cyborg 009 amongst other works. The year is 2100, mankind has advanced into space and are under attack by a mechanized mankind, the Armanoids that suddenly appeared from outer space. To face the unknown enemy, Earth’s smartest brains were gathered; three youngsters known as “Zero Testers (Zero Tesuta)” from the Future Science Research Center led by Professor Tachibana. To fight the Armanoids that were planning to invade Earth, the three Zero Testers, Shin, Go, and Lisa steer huge robots called Testers. With the Armanoids using their various powerful weapons, the Zero Testers throw themselves into a harsh battle that is said to have zero possibility of survival. They muster every wisdom and courage, at times with help from friends, to protect Earth from the Armanoid invasion. The Zero Testers repeatedly interfere with Armanoid operations, but the invasion eventually intensifies until a comprehensive attack is launched by the home planet that mechanized the planet itself into a battle planet.Mankind on earth desperately resist the approaching Armanoid planet, but the Armanoid planet, its entirety covered in armor with overwhelming mass is no match to their regular weapons. The only hope left is the Zero Testers. The Zero Testers gather every nuclear bomb available onto the moon and execute a strategy to throw the moon at the Armanoid planet to destroy it.The Armanoid planet collapses upon collision with the moon and the Zero Testers finally defeat the Armanoid invaders and regain peace.
