Synopsis

Rejenzu, LegendzIn prehistoric times, monsters known as “legendz” roamed the earth at the zenith of prosperity. However, the legendz were transformed into crystals called “soul dolls” due to a war known as the Legendz War. Many millennia have passed, and a boy named Shu who lives in modern New York happens to bring back to life Shiron, a Windragon with a special role that is counted as one of the Four Great Legendz. Following this event, Shu gets involved in a struggle with the Dark Wiz Company that plans to start the Legendz War again. Shu and Shiron do not get on very well at first, but they fight together and gradually develop a bond. They manage to defeat formidable enemies with the help of Meg, Mike, and Dino, who have each also brought back to life one of the Four Great Legendz. Shu and his friends bravely tackle many challenges, including Shiron’s destiny to bring about the Legendz War, the feud between humans and legendz, and Jabberwock, the dark legendz that feeds on people’s fear and hate to grow. Finally, Shu and his friends use the powers of Spiritual, the legendz of light who appeared to prevent the Legendz War, to change the past, erasing the memory––and in turn the existence––of the war and legendz altogether and thus restoring peace.Legendz ran in 50 episodes from 2004. It was later adapted into a manga, novel, and video game, among other media, but the setting, characters, and story is different in each of them.
