Umizaru: Umi no Sosasen Kaijohoankan Monogatari Daisuke Senzaki is a rookie coast guard officer. One day, the coast guard in Kagoshima receives an emergency signal, which marks the beginning of a mysterious case.Upon receiving the emergency signal, the patrol boat leaves port and finds a pleasure boat drifting at sea. There they discover the corpses of a couple, as well as a boy who is frozen in shock. The boy is the couple’s son. The coast guard announces the case as a double suicide. However, Daisuke, after visiting the boy’s house, suspects that the father did not commit suicide but was murdered. Meanwhile, Miharu Urabe, a rookie journalist who also visited the boy’s house, takes an interest in Daisuke’s suspicions. The two later join forces in an individual investigation. The desperate murderer takes a hostage and escapes on a boat.
