Synopsis
Kamen Raida Kuga, Kamen Rider Kuuga The Gurongi , a warlike tribe that emerged from the ancient darkness, is committed to killing a race of humans called the Rinto . In the midst of this, the Gurongi tribe is defeated and sealed in a battle against a lone Rinto warrior, who was imbued with the power of the spirit stone. Fast forward to 1999, when an excavation team digs up ancient ruins, Daguva , the leader of the Gurongi tribe, is resurrected, reviving his sealed clan. At the same time, assistant police inspector Kaoru Ichijo, who was investigating a case at the ruins, meets a mysterious young adventurer named Yusuke Godai. Ichijo asks Sakurako Sawatari, an archaeologist who is an acquaintance of Godai, to investigate a belt-shaped out-of-place artifact (OOPArt), which contains a spirit stone called Amadam recovered at the ruins by the Nagano Prefectural Police. However, they are suddenly attacked by spider monsters of the Gurongi tribe, and when Godai sees people being attacked, he catches a vision of an ancient warrior for a moment, and just like the worrier in his image, he puts on the belt and transforms into the super-ancient warrior Kuuga, and fight off the monsters. Later, the Gurongis begin hunting humans for prey. In response, Godai enlists the help of Ichijo to fight against the Gurongi in order to protect the human race.Kamen Rider Kuuga is the first in the Heisei Kamen Rider series, newly produced by Toei after the Showa Kamen Rider series, which was based on Shotaro Ishinomori’s story, was completed. It is a tokusatsu drama series broadcast from January 2000 to January 2001 on the TV Asahi network. Odagiri Joe played the lead role of Yusuke Godai, and Shingo Katsurayama played the role of Kaoru Ichijo, who fights alongside Godai.
