Synopsis
Tokusou Robo Janperson The series is set in Japan, where great strides have been made in the science of robotics with AI. However, those who secretly misuse the technology appear, and a criminal organization that wants to take over the world becomes active. In the meantime, the city is turned into a sea of fire by the fighting robots of the Guild, a mafia organization that swaps humans for robots and uses robots to commit crimes, putting many people in danger. Then an unidentified humanoid robot with a strong purple body equipped with AI appears and calls himself Janperson. He destroys the Guild's fighting robots, defeats the organization, ultimately saves the city and becomes a hero. Janperson was originally a robot developed by the Metropolitan Police Department's Special Equipment Development Unit. He ran amok during his first test and was discarded. However, he was then secretly reprogrammed by Kaoru Saegusa, a genius robotics scientist who used to work in the Special Equipment Development Unit. Even after the destruction of the Guild, there is no end to the crimes committed by crime syndicates, and Janperson, a robot with a heart of justice, is determined to confront the new evil villains.Tokusou Robo Janperson is the 12th installment of the Metal Hero series produced by Toei and broadcast on the TV Asahi network from 1993 to 1995. In the Metal Hero series, the protagonist, Janperson, appears as an innocent robot character. He gained popularity as a special effects hero who did not need to transform, which was very rare at the time. He later appeared in a special edition of Juukou B-Fighter and Blue SWAT, the second and third installment in the series, which attracted much attention.
