Susumu Kurobe, who played the main character in Ultraman, continued to appear in later Ultra series shows in the same role. The daughter of Kurobe, Takami Yoshimoto, played the heroine Rena Yanase in Ultraman Tiga (1996–1997). Kurobe and Yoshimoto appeared in the roles of father and daughter in the film Superior 8 Ultra Brothers released in 2008.
