What is Anime-screenplay database?

The database is a system where users can search or browse bibliographical data on the anime-scripts and screenplays collected so far.
Please note that the animation script is currently unpublished and will not be viewed.
Current data release: 10,344 (excluding duplicates)

※Please refrain from the reproduction or appropriation of any information in the database, except where permitted by copyright law and other relevant laws.

Project Commissioned by the Agency for Cultural Affairs.

This database has been adopted and produced and released by the Agency for Cultural Affairs' "2017 - 2023 Media and Arts Promotion Subsidy for Media Arts Archives".

What is the script archives activity?

The Consortium for the Promotion of Broadcast Script Archives in Japan (Representative Director: Shunsaku Ikehata) conducts collection and preservation activities to prevent the dissipation of broadcast program scripts. Screenplays of broadcast programs such as dramas are released to some public institutions (National Diet Library, etc.)..
You can search for the screenplay viewing location of the broadcast program in the "Screenplay Database".

This activity is supported by the Agency for Cultural Affairs' subsidized project "Research and Development on Archives for Cultural Materials-Research and Research on Archives for Broadcast Program Scripts and Scripts-" ​​(since 2012). It is released as part of research activities.

Request for Cooperation with the Screenplay Collection

The purposes of this consortium is to collaborate with institutions that have screenplays in the future and to realize integrated search for screenplays that are distributed and stored.
We would be grateful if you would like to provide information to all of our institutions.
