Heidi、 A Girl from the AlpsHeidi、 who lost her parents and was raised by her maternal aunt、 Dete、 until she reached an age capable of reason、 is taken to the house of her paternal grandfather、 Alm-Uncle、 to start a new life.Heidi grows up in good health、 interacting with people and animals living in the Alps through Alm.However、 one day、 Dete takes Heidi to live with the Sesemanns、 a merchant family in Frankfurt. What Heidi finds waiting for her there are tough days、 which differ from her life in the house in the mountains、 but she opens up to Sesemann’s only daughter、 Clara、 who is in poor health.Heidi does not get used to urban life、 and becomes terribly homesick because of her extreme longing for Alm and her hometown.With the recommendation of the Sesemann’s doctor、 who noticed something unusual in Heidi、 Heidi is able to return to the mountain where the Alm-Uncle lives.One day a letter arrives for Heidi、 who has returned to her original life and is recovering her energy. It was from Clara.After a while Clara is allowed to spend time living in the Alps for rest、 and she interacts with people there、 and experiences nature through Heidi.Clara’s physical condition then starts to show a positive change、 and she recovers to the point where she can stand on her own feet with support from Heidi and her friends、 although she sometimes stumbles.In the end、 Clara shows her family、 when they come to pick her up、 that she can stand on her own feet by walking up to them.When Mr. Sesemann sees that he is grateful to Heidi and the people of the Alps.Clara then sees Heidi and others again after more rehabilitation、 and Heidi’s and Clara’s laughter echoes in the mountains of the Alps.
