Synopsis Shin Mitsubachi Maya no Boken、 Maya the Bee (Series 2)Maya is a young female bee that grew up in a beehive underground an old castle. She collects honey and makes wax every day、 but has become tired of her repetitive life in the old castle. Maya starts to dream of traveling around the outside world one day、 and she and her best friend、 a young male bee named Willy、 leave the hive in secret and journey out into the outside world full of nature. Maya and Willy live in the forest outside of the castle and there meet and become friends with the helpful grasshopper Flip. Although Maya enjoys a free life outside、 she learns that the castle where she grew up in is being threatened by wasps. Mitsubachi Maya no Boken、 the first series、 ends with Maya returning to the castle.Shin Mitsubachi Maya no Boken、 the second series、 was created as a sequel to the first series. The story starts when Maya and the others awaken from their three-month hibernation only to learn that there has been a fire in the forest and that their old grasshopper friend Flip is missing. The whole series consists of original、 standalone、 family-friendly episodes、 in which Maya returns to the forest after going home to tell the others about the wasp threat and、 together with her new mouse friend named Alexander、 gets involved in events with various insects while living life in the forest. There was a seven-year gap between the first and second series.
