Nanatsu no Taizai: Imashime no Fukkatsu、 The Seven Deadly Sins —Revival of The Commandments This is the third season of the Seven Deadly Sins anime series.In a world composed of various creatures、 including humans、 giants、 fairies、 goddesses and demons、 the goal of the first season is to take back the Kingdom of Liones、 a great power in the land of Britannia . The country was in a state of turmoil because the Holy Knights who were supposed to protect the Kingdom of Liones had staged a coup d'etat. In order to reclaim the kingdom、 Liones' third princess、 Elizabeth Liones sets out on a journey to find the Seven Deadly Sins、 a legendary group of seven knights who were once formed to protect the king. Along the way、 she meets Meliodas、 the leader of the Seven Deadly Sins、 who is disguised as a tavern owner、 and the story takes a big turn.The story、 which is in its third season of the series、 begins after the kingdom has regained peace. The Seven Deadly Sins、 of which six of the seven knights are gathered、 are once again thrown into battle when the Ten Commandments、 the elite troops of the Demon King、 who were supposed to have been defeated and sealed away in a battle 3、000 years ago、 are resurrected.The original story by manga artist Nakaba Suzuki was serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine from 2012 to 2020. It won the Best Shonen Manga award at the 39th Kodansha Manga Awards (2015) and was adapted into an animated TV series and feature films as well as released as a video game. The animated TV series ran for four seasons、 and two animated feature films were released in 2018 and 2021.Furthermore、 in 2018、 it was adapted as a stage play titled The Seven Deadly Sins: The Stage in commemoration of the first animated feature film. The popularity of the show has not waned; a sequel to the play was scheduled to be staged in 2020、 but all performances were cancelled due to COVID-19.
