Synopsis Mazinger Z vs. DevilmanDr. Hell is revived after his Mechanical Beasts were repeatedly destroyed by Mazinger Z and Aphrodite in his many attempts of attacking the Photon Research Laboratory. He witnesses the demoness Sirene demolishing the skyscrapers with her giant claws and disappearing in the Himalayas、 from which he learns about the Demon Tribe that is said to have devilish supernatural powers. Dr. Hell conspires with Zenon、 the leader of the Demon Tribe、 to ensure to defeat Mazinger Z by brainwashing the demons under his super-science.They plan to first kill Devilman、 a traitor of the Demon Tribe.Meanwhile、 Akira Fudo、 Devilman、 recognizes Dr Hell’s ambitions and meets Koji Kabuto、 the pilot of Mazinger Z. However、 they are in conflict with each other as both are hot-tempered. Later、 Akira and Koji realize that they share the same mission of saving humans、 and promise to fight together to defeat their enemies.During the battle、 however、 Devilman is overwhelmed and captured by the allied forces of the Mechanical Beasts and the Demon Tribe. Around that time、 the Jet Scrander researched by Professor Yumi to enable the Mazinger Z to fly is completed. To rescue Devilman、 Mazinger Z flies with its new flight capability to the forefront where Dr. Hell and the Demon Tribe are waiting.After Mazinger Z saves Devilman、 they fight together and win the final battle against the Mechanical Beast Army led by Dr. Hell and the Demon Tribe Army by Zenon.Mazinger Z vs. Devilman is the 24th anime film produced by Toei Animation. Featuring two then-popular heroes from different TV series was the first try in Japanese anime history.
