Synopsis TEXHNOLYZE Lux created underground and secluded from the outer world is a run-down city dominated by despair and violence. It has become a haunt of people with nowhere else to go.Ichise who makes a living as a prize fighter in Lux gets into trouble with an influential figure of Organo、 an organization dominating the city and can control even the city’s autonomy administration. Because of this、 his right arm and left leg was cut off、 and he becomes unable to fight again.But Eriko Kamata、 a woman scientist called “Doc” by everyone、 gives mechanical limbs to the desperate Ichise using the technology called Texhnolyze.Ichise with texhnolyzed limbs meets people like Ran、 a 14-year-old quiet girl who can foresee the near future、 Keigo Onishi、 the leader of Organo、 and Kazuho Yoshii、 a person who came down from the surface world. He is dragged into an incident involving the whole city、 where Lux’s privileged group called Class is trying to invade the surface world by using cyborgs called the Shapes. Ichise is faced with various truths、 like the fact that on the surface world、 humans have reached their limit as a species and are surviving meaninglessly as discarnate entities called ghosts.The incident Ichise gets drawn into because he got texhnolyzed limbs drags all the people of Lux into it. And the story ends tragically with the city ceasing to exist.
