Synopsis Mechakko Dotakon、 DotakonDaizo Dan、 the head of one of Japan’s major zaibatsu、 family business conglomerates、 has an eleven-year-old granddaughter named Michiru Dan、 and he absolutely doted on her. She is a genius who graduated an American engineering college at the age of eight. To acquire a sense of an ordinary girl、 Michiru is placed with her relatives living in the old town of Tokyo. But since she wants a little brother and a little sister、 she creates a boy robot Dotakon and a girl robot Chopiko to realize her dream.Dotakon who has a strong sense of justice but often experiences emotional ups and downs、 and Chopiko who is a tomboy but a cry-baby、 always create commotion in the town. Especially when Dotakon yells “Hacchaki Dotakon!” he generates enormous power. This is a slapstick robot comedy anime depicting the daily events of Dotakon and town’s people around him 、 including other robots such as a hat-type robot worn by Dotakon named Danbo who is like a big brother to him、 dog-type robot Pero、 as well as Michiru’s older sisters Emi and Yumi.It is a work produced by Movie International Co. Ltd. Since the company had an animation production partnership with Toei Doga Co. who was producing Dr. Slump at the time、 there are some similar moods and elements between the two programs like sharing common voice actors and music produced by the same composer Shunsuke Kikuchi.
