Synopsis Ranma 1/2 Ranma Saotome、 the son of a Musabetsu Kakuto-ryu fighter Genma Saotome、 has been training the Musabetsu Kakuto-ryu martial arts since a child. One day、 he goes to China. There、 he and his father go to Jusenkyo、 a training ground with many tragic legends. While they are training、 they fall into the mysterious springs. Because of this、 now Ranma turns into a girl and Genma turns into a panda when they are splashed with cold water、 and they return to their original selves when splashed with hot water. When they return to Japan、 Ranma is told about the promise Genma made with his old friend Soun Tendo、 a promise to marry their children if they were of different gender. And they visit Tendo family’s house. The Tendo family has three daughters: Kasumi the oldest、 Nabiki the second oldest、 and Akane the youngest who is the same age as Ranma . Akane、 who is the same age as Ranma and hates men、 is chosen as the heir of the Tendo Dojo and Ranma’s fiancée. Ranma is forced to live at the dojo、 and the turbulent days of Ranma and Akane start.Since then、 Akane gets dragged into many troubles caused by the Saotome family and her family. But she gradually overcomes her aversion to men、 and she and Ranma become truly drawn to each other. While they spend such days、 they discover that the springs of Jusenkyo have dried up. It seemed like they have lost the clue to return to their original selves、 but they find out that the springs will well up again someday. Ranma continues to live with the Tendo family with the hope to hold a wedding with Akane when he returns to his original self. The original story is a bestseller of Rumiko Takahashi 、 famous for creating manga like Inuyasha and Urusei Yatsura .
