Daisougen no Chiisana Tenshi Bush Baby、 Bush Baby、 Little Angel of the Grasslands Set in 1965 in the suburbs of Nairobi、 Kenya after the end of World War II and on the verge of independence from British rule、 Jackie is a young British girl who has been living with animals since childhood with her father Arthur、 who is an animal protection officer、 and her brother Andrew.One day、 Arthur and Andrew find an ill galago、 also known as a bush baby、 whose mother has died. They saved the galago、 and Jackie names it Murphy and decides to raise him.Later、 when Kenya declares its independence from Britain、 Jackie and her family decided to return to England. By that time、 Murphy had grown quite fond of Jackie、 and they plan to bring him back to England as part of the family. However、 when they board the ship to England、 Jackie realizes that she has lost the papers to bring Murphy back to England and rushes off the ship.When Jackie is left behind from the ship that her family is on、 she decides to return Murphy to his natural home、 and with the help of Tenbo、 Arthur's former assistant、 sets out on a journey to find a place where Murphy can live in peace. After overcoming many obstacles、 such as poachers、 raids by fierce animals、 and forest fires、 Jackie finds a herd of bush babies、 says goodbye to Murphy、 and sends him off to the herd.Based on the novel The Bushbabies written by William H. Stevenson、 the series was aired for 40 episodes starting in 1992.
