Synopsis |
Ashita Tenki ni Naare、 A Great Super Shot BoyTaiyo Mukai、 who lost his father early in his childhood and was raised by his mother running a restaurant、 starts to play golf by chance when he is in his third year at junior high.Due to his superior sense of golf、 he is recommended by people around him to become a professional、 and he himself begins to dream of participating in and winning the British Open someday.Taiyo gets further motivated to become a professional when he meets former professional golfer Ryukoku nicknamed the “Demon of the Course.”Taiyo trains under the coaching of Ryukoku、 working very closely with him as one team. Then、 Taiyo acquires a qualification for a pro test trainee and practices hard every day to pass the test.Overcoming grueling matches and frustrations、 Taiyo becomes the youngest-ever player who has passed the pro test. With his natural ability and broad-minded character、 Taiyo polishes up his own skills through friendly rivalry with other golfers and challenges given by Ryukoku、 and competes in the East Pacific Tournament as the Japan’s youngest-ever pro golfer. On the final day、 Taiyo beats Seve Valentino、 one of the world’s greatest players、 in a one-on-one playoff、 and finally wins his first victory as a professional. However、 without being satisfied with the feat、 Taiyo keeps moving forward toward the big goal—the victory in the British Open.Although the golf anime film Pro Golfer Saru had been released two years before this series、 Ashita Tenki ni Nare is the first anime television series featuring golf in Japanese anime history.
