Synopsis Warrior of Love Rainbowman Takeshi Yamato is a famous high school amateur wrestler. However、 one day、 he causes his younger sister an injury due to his own carelessness.He decides to become a famous professional wrestler and save as much as he can to cure his sister’s foot. To improve his skills even further、 he goes to train under Devadatta、 a miraculous sage who lives in the deep mountains of India.Later、 Takeshi witnesses the miserable conditions of soldiers who are suffering in a conflict zone. Seeing his teacher、 Devadatta、 saving the soldiers and sending them home safely、 Takeshi changes his way of thinking: he decides to use his skills for people and society. Recognized by Devadatta、 he receives the powers of Rainbowman、 a legendary warrior who controls the seven Dashes.Takeshi then returns to Japan. There、 he is confronted by the Die Die Gang、 a mysterious secret group that plots to destroy Japan and annihilate the Japanese people. To foil this evil plan、 Takeshi decides to transform into Rainbowman and fight the gang.Warrior of Love Rainbowman is a tokusatsu TV series produced by Toei、 airing on NET (current TV Asahi) from October 1972 to September 1973. It is based on a superhero story written by Kohan Kawauchi、 who created works such as Moonlight Mask. Later、 an anime remake with a different setting from the tokusatsu TV series aired in 1982 through 1983. Popular voice actor Yu Mizushima made his debut in the entertainment world with the series’ theme song.
