Kagaku Ninjatai Gatchaman IIThree years have passed since the fierce battle with Galactor、 and Sosai X had returned to space. Science Ninja Team (Kagaku Ninjatai) had won the day and saved Earth、 but had also lost a team member、 Joe the Condor.Having fulfilled its role、 Science Ninja Team Gatchaman is scheduled to be disbanded according to a decision of the International Science Organization (ISO).But just as this decision is made、 Sosai X returns to Earth in the form of a fireball landing in the South Pacific.Sosai X sinks a passenger ship cruising nearby、 changes a young child who had been on board into a special device、 transforms the child into a young man、 names the young man Gel Sadora、 and makes him the leader of the new Galactor、 thereby reestablishing the organization.The Gatchaman team、 which was on the verge of disbandment、 is given an urgent mission to investigate this new threat.The members are caught in a trap and find themselves in a dire situation. Then、 Joe the Condor、 who should have been dead、 suddenly appears and saves his friends from the crisis.Subsequently、 the disbandment of the Science Ninja Team is cancelled、 and its members、 including Joe、 join together again.The Gatchaman team works hard and avoids disbandment、 and engages in many a fierce battle against the new Galactor led by Gel Sadora and Sosai X.In the final confrontation、 Sosai X’s Solar Shift Plan threatens the very survival of not only Earth but the entire Solar System.In the midst of this situation、 Gel Sadora learns the truth behind his mother’s death and rebels against Sosai X.Gel Sadora joins with the Science Ninja Team and fights along with Gatchaman、 and together they crush Sosai X’s ambitions and yet again save the world from the evil clutches of Sosai X. Finally、 Gel Sadora apologizes to the Gatchaman team and、 led by his mother’s voice、 changes back into the child he used to be and disappears into the light、 as if to atone for his sins.
