Synopsis HazedonHazedon a Goby fish who lives in the sea. He is not exactly a cool-looking boy.Following his mother’s dying wish for him to become the strongest fish in the world、 Hazedon embarks on a journey to the tropical islands、 taking with him his late mother’s flute and seashell locket and a plastic bucket to place on his head. On his journey、 Hazedon meets the mermaid Shiran and the puffer fish Puyan. His late mother’s seashell locket was said to open when Hazedon becomes the strongest fish in the world. Determined to become the strongest fish in the world、 following his late mother’s wish、 which has now also become his own、 Hazedon goes on an adventure to the tropical waters. During the adventure、 the nasty shark Samegirusu and anglerfish Ankoragon try to chase and bully Hazedon、 but he manages to escape with the help of his friends.Hazedon is comically personified: he can walk on his tail fin like a human being、 but can swim like a normal fish when in the water. Hazedon depicts the growth and adventures of marine creatures and first aired in 1972. The series was the first production by Sunrise when the company was called by its former name、 Soeisha、 and some consider it to be what motivated Sunrise to start creating TV animations in earnest.Hideo Azuma wrote the comic version that was serialized prior to TV broadcasting、 which became a popular work. Data only remains in VHS format and is unavailable in DVD format.
