Hei Bumbu、 Bumpety BooKen is a boy who lives in a peaceful little town. One day、 he visits a car factory filled with scrap material and finds a mysterious egg there.He looks at the egg in surprise. Then he hears a cry、 and a mysterious creature that looks like a car hatches from the egg. The creature is Bumpety Boo、 a baby car.Bumpety Boo does not know his mother’s face、 nor why he is in the factory. Ken decides to go on a journey with Bumpety Boo to find the baby’s mother、 as well as other living cars that are his friends.However、 the evil scientist Dr. Monkey takes interest in Bumpety Boo and gets in their way. Ken and Bumpety Boo overcome many challenges during their journey. On one occasion、 they follow a small clue and end up straying into a haunted house and a ghost ship. On another occasion、 they get embroiled in a dispute with some cowboys. The two grow as they go through their journey、 encountering many people along the way. Certain that one day he will be reunited with his mother、 Bumpety Boo travels all around the world in search of her、 with Ken by his side.The series was broadcast between 1985 and 1986、 every weekday from Monday to Thursday. It was an originally-developed show by Nippon Animation、 consisting of a total of 130 ten-minute episodes.The series is famous for the many theme songs that it featured.
