Synopsis Ultraman 80 Humanity once fought intense battles with monsters and invaders in the past. These battles have faded from people’s memories、 and humanity is enjoying peace. However、 as long as there are people、 negative feelings always lurk behind the corner. These negative feelings bring about new monsters.Detecting this threat、 Nebula M78 secretly dispatches an Ultraman.Takeshi Yamato is a new teacher at Sakuragaoka Junior High School. His motto is “give it everything you’ve got.” His true identity is Ultraman 80、 who has been secretly dispatched from Nebula M78.A new monster called Crescent invades the Earth、 plunging the city into chaos. To protect the city’s people from this crisis、 Yamato、 alone、 jumps into the chaos caused by the monster、 raises his Bright Stick、 which contains a special crystal bar、 and transforms into Ultraman 80、 the new titan of light、 to take out the monster.Later、 Yamato is recruited by、 and joins、 Utility Government Members (UGM) 、 an organization dedicated to defending the Earth. As a UGM member、 teacher、 and Ultraman、 he strives daily to protect the Earth from the threat of monsters.Ultraman 80 was produced by Tsuburaya Productions. As the ninth show of the Ultra Series、 the tokusatsu hero series aired on the TBS network from April 1980 to March 1981. Ultraman 80 was the last show of the Ultra Series to be collaboratively produced with TBS in the Showa era.Twenty-six years later、 Hatsunori Hasegawa、 who played Ultraman 80、 or Takeshi Yamato、 appeared in the same role in Episode 41、 “Teacher’s Memories、 ” of the Heisei-era Ultraman Mebius、 which served as a sequel to Ultraman 80.
